XDA orbit VERY slow and regularly crashing - Help!

I'm using an Orbit 1 with WM6 and over the past few days ive had several problems which seem to have lead to a final conclusion.
It began by the full battery indicator staying on permanently and the battery meter reading 100% even in the few seconds before it dies!
Then, the phone began to go unbeliveably slowly in some tasks but normal speed for others such as opening messages went normal speed but as soon as i type, it takes 30 seconds or longer before anything appears on screen. Either this, or it will freeze after typing a few words!
As well as this, if I lock the phone, the bottom quicklink bar (with the unlock button on it ) blacks out so that i cannot press it. It will then take approx 30secs before anything happens.
If anyone knows what is happening to my phone, it would be a great help and if anyone knows any solutions that would be fantastic. I would preferably not have to do a hard reset for the obvious reasons.

You could try to install a new ROM (like installing everyting from scratch on a PC). You can find some of them on www.xda-developers.com or maybe use the one in O2 support (the one you used to upgrade to WM6)

Tried reinstalling the ROM and it seems to have worked fine, thanks very much
Was a shame that i had to re enter all the settings but it was worth it =]
